Frequently Asked Questions
Can I join anytime of the year of do I have to start in January?
This 12-month program is open-ended, meaning you can join at any time during the year. You will simply join the program with the next Empowerment Online Session and your membership will loop around for the next 365 days.
Each topic of the Empowerment Online Sessions will be the same for that particular month. For instance, let's say you start in March 2011 so you missed February 2011's session, "Living Without Limitations." Not to worry, you'll take this same session in February 2012.
What if I miss one or my Empowerment Online Sessions?
Each of the sessions will be recorded and available for download within 24 hours. You will receive an email letting you know the recording is up on our website and ready to listen to. Even if you make the session, you can log-in and download the recording to listen to it again in the future. You can build up your audio library simply and easily.
Do I have to travel?
No traveling is necessary. Everything is done completely over the Internet.
Is a webcam needed?
A webcam is highly recommended, but not required.
Heather will be on each session with live streaming video of her. If you'd like to join in during the open Q&A of each session, a webcam would be great to be able to make this experience more personable for everyone involved.

If you are interested in purchasing a webcam, we suggest the Logitech brand. My experience has been they are EASY to install and compatible with most computers.
How does a "Girls' Night Out" work over the Internet?
These sessions are designed to be relaxing and just fun! I've created a basic theme for the sessions but you never know what might unfold! Come ready to talk, share, laugh, cry, dance, and let go with your Dare to Love Yourself girlfriends. Pour yourself a glass of wine, kick back, and be amongst a group of women who finally "get" you!
How is this different from the "Every Day Is Mother's Day" conference?
The Every Day Is Mother's Day conference is designed to help you through deeper emotional issues and to give you heart-centered exercises to "clean out your emotional closet." For more information on the Mom's Conference, click here.
The Dare to Love Yourself program will work more at the cognitive level by giving you hands on tools and ways to move forward.
These two programs are designed to compliment each other. Participating in both of these programs will you the winning combination to becoming the maximum you!
Can I pay by the month instead of for the entire year?
Much of the focus on this program is making a commitment to yourself to follow-through and not return back to past patterns. Registering for a year-long program will help you lock this in.
If you need to set-up a three month payment plan due to financial constraints, of course. What if I register for the year program and then decide it isn't working for me?
If you decide this program isn't a good fit, let us know within three months of registering and we'll give you a full refund.
How is this going to help me with my child's naughty, disrespectful, and absurd behaviors?
While the focus of this program is not directly on parenting, the impact it can have on your ability as a mom far outweighs any parenting technique anyone can offer you. Your ability to feel good about yourself, to stay in a loving and understanding place with your children, and to have an internal sense of happiness and purpose is one of the most powerful dynamics influencing any mother. The more loving and accepting you are of yourself, the more your children will want to connect with you and the safer they will feel from a deep emotional level.

Can Heather just come to my house and live with me for a week, instead?
This question does get asked quite frequently! Heather is focused on empowering you to make it work in your home. Your role as a mother in your child's life is the most powerful role of anyone EVER in your child's life. Embrace the challenge and find your way back to self-love so your children have the most beautiful, empowered, dynamic, fun, calm, courageous, and loving mom possible!
How do I get my stories on Heather's Blog?
Soon after becoming a member of this program, you'll be receiving an email inviting you to submit your stories and pictures (if you'd like). Each story will be read by Heather and unless there is something inappropriate (highly unlikely), each story will be added by our office to her blog. Only those participating in this program will be invited to contribute to this Beyond Consequences Web-based Documentary. It's a way for you to help other families and other parents keep holding on to hope and see how the process of healing works.
How do I make this work with my busy and down right crazy schedule?
The dates are given on the webpage now. Take a thick black Sharpie and mark your calendar now. Be sure to get your spouse/partner or support person (even if you have to find a babysitter) to agree to give you these dates off. You deserve it, so even if you have to be a bit demanding, you have permission to do this!
For each session, find a place either in your home, at a friend's house, or in the corner of a coffee shop and create this time for you. If your children are at home, lock yourself in your bedroom with a sign on your door that says, "Do Not Disturb Unless You Want Consequences" (okay...just joking on that one). Seriously, do what it takes to make this happen in the next year. It is possible. And you deserve it!
